African Pietersite cab ~
Here is a designer cabochon of pietersite, from Africa. This gemstone has a marvelous degree of tigereye chatoyancy in midnight and icy blue swirls, with some lemon yellow agate wisps at one side. It's over the top in the shimmering department, with swirling silk that flashes well as the stone is turned. The stone has a very high rounded dome, an easy to set freeform shape, and a great glossy polish both front and back.
