Offered here is a large and extra fancy cabochon of premium pietersite, from China. Sadly, the reknown Chinese material is becoming harder and harder to come by in any quality, due to severe flooding of the area, and future mining is uncertain. This deluxe stone is truly stunning, with a dazzling degree of swirling pearly chatoyancy, in BLAZING golds and reds, along with deep blues. Toward the pointed end, streaks of green and purple are present, colors rarely seen in pietersite. The curly folds and patterning in this well composed beauty are extra nice, adding a depth of character that's tough to capture in one dimensional photos. In hand, it's nothing short of phenomenal! There are no blemishes that I can discern, and the stone is absolutely 100% natural with NO treatments or fillers of any kind.
